Duncan and the Highway 290 corridor are the county's industrial side, ten minutes down I-85 from Spartanburg toward Greenville. Parcels here clear for warehouses, shops and the subdivisions filling in behind them, and the jobs run bigger: several acres cut and hauled to bare ground, with the land disturbance permit and silt fence in place before the first tree falls.
